I wouldn't exactly call it 'cooking' but I can make noodles. That means I can boil water, put the steak& noodles in and wait until it's done.


Pepper steak with noodles😍


Try our pepper steak with noodles for a simple, balanced, midweek meal that's full of flavour. Top with sesame seeds and crushed peppercorns to serve. 😊






INGREDIENTS 

* 2bsp light soy sauce 

* 3 garlic cloves,crushed

* 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated

* 450g steak

* vegetable oil

*2 tbsp cornflour

* noodles, crushed black peppercorns 


METHOD

Step 1: mix 1 tbsp of the soy with, crushed garlic clove and half of the ginger, pour over the steak. Heat a frying pan 🍳 over a high heat until very hot.


Step 2: mix the cornflour into the remaining soy sauce. Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan and add onion. Once they are starting to soften with bits of char on them , add the remaining garlic and ginger and soy mixture


Step 3: Slice the steak πŸ₯© thinly and add to wok, just stirring through. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and crushed peppercorns and serve with the noodles.

Sweet potato curry πŸ› 

Super easy sweet potato curry, made with only a handful ingredients. ready in just over 30 minutes, perfect for a quick family dinner!




Ingredients 

* 1 tbsp coconut oil

* 2 medium peppers( red &yellow)

*1 large onion

*1 large sweet potato 

*5 tbsp red curry paste of choice

*400 ml coconut milk

*fresh coriander 


Instructions 

1. In a large frying 🍳 pan, heat the count oil, then add chopped peppers and onions and fry for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft.

2. Add the sweet potato, curry paste and coconut πŸ₯₯ milk and stir well. Bring to simmer, cover with lid and cook for about 20 minutes until vegetables are very soft. Stir in half of tbsp of coriander.

3. Divide between two bowls, sprinkle with remaining coriander and tested flacked almonds. Serve with rice or naan bread and enjoy!

Easy Kid's Tiffin Box Ideas

When I was in High School I had two favourite subject

School's have opened after the summer break and while your life is back to a routine the kids are having a hard time going to back to school after long holidays. Feeling stressed 😟 about what to serve your children?? are you not sure what your children might actually eat. Do you need some fresh ideas? Then this is the right place for you!

Actually Packing lunch box is another struggle as they have to be lured into going to school by making their favourite dishes. I have a system where you can create a weekly chart for the kids tiffin.

I can remember my Mom always packed a healthy, well balanced lunch that I most enjoyed in my lunch time😊 So have a look for some idea's πŸ‘‰




1. Paratha Wraps

Paratha warps are one of the most nutritious meals for your kid at school. Cooke small parathas preferably in ghee and make sure to make them small and soft. Put a layer of sauce or jam on it depending on kids liking. Then spread a layer of cooked vegetable on it which could be any vegetable of choice. just warp it around and its ready to be eaten. If your child πŸ§’ like it, then there is nothing better than this.




2. Bread rolls

Make some potato πŸ₯” stuffing as per your taste. Don't forget to add some small veggies to it to make it nutritious. Heat some oil for deep frying 🍳 Take a bread loaf and dip it in water. Take it out immediately and  squeeze it by pressing in between both the hands. This will remove excess water from it. Put a spoon full of feeling in the centre of bread and cover it. Deep fry it when the oil is ready and yummy bread rolls for your kid are ready to be packed.



3. Ragi dosas

To your normal dosa batter just add one or two spoons full of  Ragi powder and let it soak for fifteen to twenty minutes. Your dosa batter is now rich in calcium which is most needed to your kid. Just look this dosas like you would cook normally and serve it with some jam  and sauce to cover up the slight difference in taste initially.




4. Fruit salad

This is easy and very healthy option for children. They maybe choosy about eating some fruits and leaving others as per his taste preferences. So try to make the best use of the company of his friends and give him a fruit salad involving all seasonal fruit. He maybe picky a few times in eating it but could accept it soon. Usually in school kids would feel hungry after physical activities and play time and hence would eat whatever is given. You can even stack them on a satay stick and make it fun or make a fruit chat by adding some chat masala to it

If you're out for the day, I know you will make a stop at your favourite coffee spot to grab the perfect cold coffee 🍡 or shake .This excitement just double ups summers and I always love curbing my sweet cravings with a great shake or drink . You're going to love the recipes for my cafes style coffee at home. They are so simple to put together and taste like the real deal.

I love simple Homestyle cold coffee with milk. That was what our generation grew up drinking 🍻 in summers. I remember the summer evening when after returning from college Mom used to give us a refreshing glass of chilled and creamy coffee , which not only energetic but helped us to cool down as well. When there was a special occasion she would make milkshake like thick cold coffee with ice-cream. Unlike so many brands available these days she would make our cold coffee with Nescafe, only coffee powder brand available at that time.

       How to make cold coffee at Home 🏑 ❓


 

 I remember my Mom would keep the beaten coffee in the mug ready and just when reached home she would churn out a delicious πŸ˜‹ glass of cold coffee just with three ingredients. No fancy stuff like we get these days, but oh God! That was some delicious stuff.


In this recipe of iced coffee, I flavoured the coffee with some extra dark chocolate 🍫 sauce.

 

How to make cold coffee with ice-cream🍦❓

For making cold coffee with Nescafe or any other instant coffee, simply add coffee powder, milk, scoop of ice-cream, sugar as per your preference, 2-3 ice cubes and blend until frothy. Serve immediately.

One of the many reasons for which I love coffee is because I can experiment with different flavours of coffee. Be it a steaming pot of freshly brewed coffee or a glass of iced coffee, coffee brings people together.

INGREDIENTS 

* 800 ml milk

* 2tsp instant coffee powder

* 4-6 Tsp sugar optional 

* 5-6 ice-cream scope

* 3 tsp chocolate syrup

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. In a blender jar, blend together cold brew coffee powder, milk sugar, and ice-cream for about a minute on slow speed.

2. Now keep a glass drizzled with dark chocolate syrup foe serving.

3. And ice cube you can add plain ice cubes or if you want the stronger flavour you can add ice cubes made with cold brew concentrate.

4. Pour the coffee in over ice cubes in two tall glasses. You can serve it as it is or top it with one scope of ice cream and chocolate syrup and serve it immediately.

 what is the best way to feel refreshed when you don't have a chance to go out❔ 

Taking a shower definitely works, but its effect doesn't last long! you can expand this refreshments with water guns, but you need to someone play. what if you have works to do or a baby to look after??

Watermelon πŸ‰ is probably the most favourite fruit in summer, so why don't we make a summer drink using this fruit?πŸ’

It's juicy and refreshing enough, so it needs little work to become a loveable liquid!

I think watermelon is sweet enough and it doesn't need any additional flavours, so I didn't match it with any other fruits for this fresh summer sip. To give it a sparkling effect, I used purely natural mineral water! I'm not sure whether there are mineral water springs in other countries, but we do have them and they are so healthy! Please use natural mineral water if you can find it in your area. Leave it out if you can't.

* 500g seedless watermelon, cubed

* 1 bottle natural mineral water

 For garnish:

* 3 dollops watermelon

* Fresh mint leaves

* Ice cubes

2, Puree the watermelon in a high speed blender. Share it in glasses

3, Put a dollop of watermelon on each

4. Pour over ice in glasses

5. Top with natural mineral water

6. Finish each glass with a spring of fresh mint.

after cooking biryani rice for my family, I have learned and discovered the important to take note while preparing it. please read the note πŸ“ below attempting the recipe. I hope all this tips and observation I have gone through so far will help you to produce the best biryani.

1. The choice of meat πŸ₯©(if you do not want chicken biryani)
 you can use either chicken, mutton, or beef. Cut the meat into large chunks with bone-on.

2. Marinate the chicken πŸ” overnight for best result



The ingredients of the marinade differ slightly from different region and countries. Marinate the meat for at least half a day, preferably overnight if time is allowable. long marinating time is necessary because a good chicken biryani should have meat that is flavourful for every bite, not just on the surface.

3. Use fresh spices that are aromatic 



you should use ground spices for better marinating effect. Nowadays, many grocery shops provide ready-made ground it with a spice herb grinder before using it.

4. Plain yogurt is the best 
Use plain yogurt. Most of us have yogurt with fruit flavour in the refrigerator, but they will affect the taste of chicken.

5. Ghee is better than butter 


Ghee is purified butter. You can use unsalted butter as the substitution if you do not want to buy a large can of ghee, which you may not use it in future.

6. Do not oversight the importance of fried onion 



Fried onion is an essential ingredients to prepare biriyani. Since the onion paper thin, and separate them by using your hand. Stir the onions occasionally to ensure even browning, until it turns golden brown. Drain away the excess oil.

6. Use coriander and mint leaves for the freshness




Coriander and mint leaves add freshness to the rice. You can either use the whole leaves or give a few rough chops.

7. Never compromised basmati rice 🍚 with other substitutes



Basmati rice is the long grain rice suitable to prepare biryani. Since it is less sticky than other types of rice, every grain of rice is well defined and separated from each other. That is what it should be for a good biryani rice.

Cook the rice separately
you can shorten the time to cook the rice by soaking the basmati rice in water for 45 minutes before boiling it. After that, put the soaked rice in a large pot of boiling water, with the amount of water at least three times the volume of the rice.

How to check if the rice is half-cooked 

Remove a grain of rice from the boiling water and place it on a flat surface. The rice is half-cooked if you can break it into half by pressing it with your fingers. When this happens, remove the rice from heat and drain away from the water. The half cooked rice is ready to cook together with marinated chicken.

8. Use saffron to improve the flavour and aroma








Saffron is an expensive herb, which renders fragrance to the biryani. You can do without it if you can do not have saffron.
